  I LOVED the location. I could just step outside the room and take a few steps and have the most amazing view/be lounging right by the water. It felt very private too, i didn’t encounter too many other guests while i was there and it was quiet. Also appreciated that the room had a full closet and a jacuzzi jet tub - that was so nice. The bed was comfy and it was clean. My only issue was that the floor was entirely carpeted even in the bathroom - I’m pretty turned off by old carpet so i didn’t want to set any of my belongings down on the floor and i felt the need to wear shoes pretty much all the time which made it slightly less comfortable. Also i was traveling there by myself and the only door to the room was the sliding door which also was the only window. Luckily it cooled down and they gave me an extra fan but the first day i was there it was so hot and there’s no AC so i was struggling with the fact that id have to leave the door open to get a breeze. I wasn’t going to leave the door open overnight for safety concerns - they assured me it was safe and it was but i don’t leave doors open while i sleep especially as a woman traveling by myself so that was an obstacle. Ultimately
  It was fine once the weather cooled down but upgrading to hard floors and having a small ac unit would just make it that much more comfortable. Otherwise i loved it, it was cozy and perfect for one person!

  If you plan on being out and about this is the perfect spot to stay. True to the room name - this room is small and simple - Tv w/ few channels and DVD player, Mini fridge and floor fan.   Originally got booked for #8 and got upgraded to #5 either day of or a day before. Unit #5 has so much room for an inn and the views from outside the building are amazing. The room is outdated and the shower has dark brown tile and has a strange slant. Don't reserve if you plan on spending the entire time showering. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and the place was really clean. I would definitely stay here again.

  When I arrived, I was greeted by Sheri, who was doing some finishing touches on my room. She was very welcoming. She showed me around and suggested some places to eat and places to rent water sports equipment.
  The room had a king sized bed with a built in flat shelf all along the head of the bed. This made it convenient to have all my plug in devices at hand. There was a mirrored sliding door closet along one side of the wall that also had side shelves which was very convenient. There was a small refrigerator and an electric coffee pot. It also had a TV which had cable in which you got a lot of channels. There was a stand up oscillating fan in the room which was nice. In reading previous reviews, I acknowledge that there wasn't any air conditioning, so I brought some fans from home. I only used one at night and put it at the entrance of the sliding door to the room to blow in cooler air, which worked out great. As for the bathroom, it had a double sink vanity, with a jetted tub. I didn't use the jetted tub, however I used the high powered shower, which was great. Just outside the slider door, Sheri left a beach chair, ice cooler, umbrella, and an inflated raft to paddling in on the lake. There were 4 chairs and a small round glass table to use for relaxing and having a drink outside to relax. This Inn also has a huge private dock in which only the guests can use. There were also inflated water floats attached to the dock that the guests can use. The long deck was lined with rattan seating to look out onto the beautiful lake. The best thing is that this place is right on the water.
  When I come back to Lake Tahoe, this will be my go to place.

  We stayed in #8 for 3 nights. It's very small and quaint and exactly what we were looking for. I loved every minute of it. It was comfortable, clean and close to so many things. Beautiful views of the lake! I would love to try the larger units with my family sometime. Management was very helpful, kind and attentive, but also regarded privacy! I read other reviews that mentioned trouble with parking. But the nearby restaurant, that shares parking, was closed for a couple of weeks so we had no trouble parking, I'm grateful for that.

  Sherry was great, she was super accommodating. There was a small issue with the room when we got there, so she upgraded us for free to #4 which had an amazing view. The jacuzzi tub was really large, the bed was comfortable and overall our stay was great.

  Very much enjoyed our stay at Tahoe Vista Inn! The room was perfect for two people and the property had a nice little beach area and dock with chairs to watch the sunsets. Kristi and Sheri were extremely helpful and provided area suggestions for hiking, eating and additional activities. The location was quiet, but most stores/shops were a car ride or mile walk away (and walking wasn't the easiest with construction and limited sidewalks). The room had a small refrigerator, which wasn't mentioned in the description and was a big necessity.

  Stayed for 3 nights. Sheri and Kristi are very gracious hosts and very accommodating. The room was clean and nice. There is a small refrigerator in the room. The tub is the bathroom is a Jacuzzi but so it is great for a hot soothing soak after a day of hiking. There is also a great outdoor sitting area with umbrella and chaise lounge and chairs just outside the sliding doors and you have a peek-a-boo view of the lake from there. There is no air conditioning but there is a electric fan available. There is no control for the heat in the room; it is in the office next door. The parking lot is shared with the valet parking for adjacent Boat House Restaurant. There are units above the room. It can be a bit noisy if you happen to have other guests with heavy footsteps above you. Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel room. My travelling companion was disappointed by lack of A/C and the noise from the people above us.

  We had the smallest room there and I knew that and all was fine but had hoped the place came with some amenities (hot tub jacuzzi didn't work).   Tahoe Vista Inn was perfect for us! We stayed in their single room (#8) and it was just like a hotel room! Their other rentals are much bigger and have kitchens in them. The place is right on the water and was easy access to the beach.

  We had a wonderful stay and were pleasantly surprised by the room, given the affordable price on such a weekend. Although staff wasn't there for check-in or check-out, they made both parts a breeze, and were easily contacted by phone. My only criticism would be about the carpeting in the bathroom - I just think it's strange to carpet a bathroom. Other than that, the room was very nice. If we ever go back to Tahoe in the summer, we would stay here again.
